Safe to Grow

We are part of the Baptist Union of Great Britain 'Safe to Grow' policy. This is a care policy setup to protect children under our care and is also in the interest of those looking after children and young adults. We are committed to following a safe practice in our dealings with children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Part of this commitment means that we have a children's advocate, Margaret Bradley, who has worked with children all of her professional career. Margaret and the leadership of the church ensure that all our children and youth workers have Enhanced Disclosures from the Criminal Records Bureau undertaken by the Church, or as part of their job.

Sunday School

We can have up to 15 children worshipping with us on a Sunday morning aged from 2-15. Children and young people join us for about the first 15 minutes of our service before going to small groups. We have many dedicated leaders who lead the groups and we are currently working through material provided by Scripture Union.

We are always pleased to see new children joining us and the material provides the opportunity for practical learning, with the children often coming home with something they will have created themselves.

Sunday Services

Each Sunday we meet together to worship God.  Below are more details about our services that are open for anyone to attend and we hope that you enjoy your time with us.

Oaklands at 10.30

The first Sunday of each month is All-age worship and we take communion on the third Sunday of the month.

Balaclava at 18.30

A more traditional service is held in the evening, we share around the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month.
